About Biak Skill Center

The Biak Skill Center believes that all young people should be given a chance to develop and create a better future for themselves. For this, we believe that education and training is the key ingredient.

By providing vocational hospitality training, we can give young people on Papua the skills they need and create sustainable employment opportunities on the island.

Our aim is to:

1. Provide much-needed vocational training for underprivileged students to give them the opportunity of a new career

2. Build a model for responsible tourism, while respecting the cultural history of the Papuan people, through our training in ecotourism, eco-lodge operation, entrepreneurship and English for Hospitality.

3. Spread sustainable initiatives and techniques, such as the principles of permaculture, on Papua and to create environmental awareness
